
Donna Jones Lawson

Donna Catherine Lawson, 69, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 peacefully in her home in Fairland, IN.
Donna was born in Indianapolis, IN, on May 18, 1946, the daughter of Donald Walter and Florence Vilga Jones. She has one sister, Elizabeth and a brother, David.
On April 7, 1966, she was married to the love of her life, Bob Lawson. Together they raised 4 children, Amy, Casey, Eric, and Jared. While also having foster children for over 22 years and 6 grandchildren, Logan, Olivia, Ean, Ruthie, Addison, and Dylan. Donna and Bob both shared their love of children. She was a wonderful Mother and Nana.
In 1969, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She has served in the full time ministry for the last 12 years. Where she carried on her love for people by telling them about the Good News of the kingdom and the hope for the paradise on the Earth. (Isaiah 11:6-9, Rev. 21: 1-4)
Donna enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, road trips and most importantly time in the ministry with her good friends. She was known for her infectious laughter and for being kind, loving and a good listener. She was also smart, fast witted, and had a great memory.
Donna is survived by her husband, Bob Lawson; children, Amy McElwain, Casey Earles, Eric Lawson and Jared Lawson; grandchildren, Logan, Olivia, Ean, Ruthie, Addison; sister, Elizabeth Jarboe; and brother, David Jones. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Donald and Florence, and her grandchild, Dylan.
A memorial talk was given on Saturday, August 22 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4809 E Raymond street Indianapolis, IN. The talk was given by Terry Rhoton.
