Bonnie Birt Whitlock

Greenwood – Bonnie J. Whitlock, 74, of Greenwood, passed away on August 22, 2021. She was born on September 17, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Robert F. and Alice M. (St. John) Birt.

Bonnie was a 1964 graduate of Manual High School, she cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed crocheting and needle point.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Scott (Barb) Whitlock, Tammy (Kevin) VanDeventer, and Andrea Munn; seven grandchildren, Damon Munn, Britton Whitlock, Mercedes Whetstine, Dylan Munn, Kierston Whitlock, Nathaniel Whetstine, and Gehrig Whitlock; 3 Step-grandchildren, Curtis (Jessica) VanDeventer, Brett (Christina) VanDeventer and Chloe Scott; four step great grandsons, Grant, Hudson, Arlo and Everett VanDeventer; step great granddaughter, Eileen VanDeventer; and siblings, Steven Birt, Michael Birt, Sue Bosworth and Julie Newsome.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry A. Whitlock in 2015.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:30 am at the funeral home.

Bonnie will be laid to rest in The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery, Greenwood, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
