Michael Earl Cope -- May 3, 1946 - November 3, 2022

Michael (Mike) Earl Cope, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, November 3, 2022.  He was living in Florida at the time of his passing, but lived prior to that for many years in Greenwood, Indiana.

He was born May 3, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN to Ervin and Joyce Cope.

He was a loving father, and is survived by his children Kimberley Adams (Alan) of Tarpon Springs, FL, Jennifer Williams (Frank) of Greenwood, and Matt Cope of Ocala, FL; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Ford, Peggy Daeger, Kathy Flora, Brenda Keith and Geri DeShon; and one brother, Rusty Cope.

Mike was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Cope in 2021 and his beloved daughter Natalie Dawn Leonard in 2020; his parents; and a brother, David Cope.

Mike was well known by all as being very kind and generous and would go out of his way to help others.  He was known for his many jokes and contagious sense of humor.

He was a long-standing, participating member of his beloved church, Community Church of Greenwood.   He was also Past President of the Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.

As a licensed architect, he also owned and operated his own successful architecture firm.

A memorial service is planned and open to all who knew and loved him.   The service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 6:00pm at Community Church of Greenwood, 1477 West Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46142.  Visitation will take place from 4-6PM prior to the service at the church.
