I am Edward Coy's niece Candy. I received your letter about the reunion. With a Very Heavy Heart I am writing you to let you know Edward passed away April 4th 2016. From complications from agent orange from serving in the Vietnam War. After serving he did a number of different jobs. Edward lived a few years in Florida but returned to Indianapolis to live approximately the last 20yrs of his life. Edward did not have any children of his own. After the passing of my dad. Edward took me under his wing as his daughter & my children as his grandkids. My Dad, Edward's brother was Larry Coy who passed away on November 18th 1996 who also attended Manual High School. I am not sure of Larry's class or If they know of his passing. Larry was a Sargeant on the Indianapolis Police Dept as a reserve officer for 25 years and drove a metro bus for approx. the same amount of years. Larry was married 3 times & had 3 Daughters I am his oldest. Larry has 1 grandson who graduated from Manual High 2006 when he enlisted in the US Army to where he is still proudly serving his country today & 1 granddaughter who is currently enrolled in dual academics at Ben Davis University and due to graduate next year with the intension of becoming a Nurse. Both children are mine.
