
Marilyn R. Boyd (Inabnitt-Temple), 76, gained eternal rest on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Greenwood Healthcare Center in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born Sunday, January 12, 1947, in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Charles Raymond and Marilyn Rose (James) Inabnitt.
She was a graduate of Manual High School with the Class of 1965(4) and attended Professional Career Institute. Marilyn worked several odd jobs, including Schwab’s IGA in Martinsville, where she worked for many years, service representative for Metro Call and most recently she worked various kiosks at Indianapolis Airport.
She was a member of the Hazelwood Baptist Church in Clayton, Indiana. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading romances and mysteries and watching movies. She was fondly known as “Grammy” or “Butch” by family and friends.
She leaves behind a host of loving family and friends including her children, Denise Drury (husband, Tony) of Martinsville, Indiana, Joseph “Joe” Temple of Black Hawk, South Dakota, and William “Bill” Temple (wife, Carolyn) of Edinburgh, Indiana; brother, Raymond Inabnitt of West Linn, Oregon; sisters, Mary Jane Fulks, Jonnie Rae Chambers and Sam Whitfield all of Trigg County, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles Bradley and Gary Inabnitt and sister, Mary Kjaer.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, December 9th, 2023, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Hazelwood Baptist Church, 9838 S. County Rd. 0, Clayton, Indiana 46118. A service celebrating Marilyn’s life will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday at the church immediately following the visitation. In honoring her wishes, her earthly remains will be cremated following the service.
