68, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully in the arms of Jesus on October 6, 2014. Born on October 20, 1945 in Frankfort, IN to the late John F. and Marjorie F. (McKinsey) Nackenhorst. She was a 1964 Manual High School graduate and received her bachelor degree from Butler University in 1968. Cheryl was an All City Park Girl's Tennis Champion in her teen years. She started the library at Gray Road Christian School and was an active member of the Gray Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include children, Jeanette (Rick) Homan, Daniel (Ruthanne) Crapo, Sarah (Joseph) Hayes; sister, Debra Nackenhorst; 8 grandchildren and a loving cousin, Dixie Irwin.

 

Visitation will be on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home , 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 in Gray Road Baptist Church, 5500 South Gray Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN.
